Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 167 - Scotland A to Z, Part 1. Ailsa Bay was founded in 2000; and this is only the second release of a single malt. The remainder of their production goes to blends. They claim that this was peated to 22ppm of phenols and 19ppm of "sweet;" which sounds like a marketing strategy without any science behind it, despite the fact that this is a high-tech, science-based distillery.
