Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 156 - Scotland Finds. In 2016, Ardnahoe Distillery became the 9th operating distillery on Islay. Jim McEwan (of Bowmore and Bruichladdich fame) consulted on the development of the distillery. This 5-year-old whisky is the first release of whisky distilled at the Ardnahoe Distillery; and it's a fantastic first effort. The whisky was matured in a combination of ex bourbon barrels and ex Oloroso Sherry casks.
