Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 170 - Scotland A to Z, Part 2. The Ardnahoe distillery opened in 2019, the first Islay distillery since 2004 (Bruichladdich). It became the 9th operating distillery on Islay. Jim McEwan (of Bowmore and Bruichladdich fame) consulted on the development of the distillery. Their first release was in June of 2024. This release was matured in ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks.
