Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 179 - Scotland A to Z Part IV. The Banff distillery had a long and varied history before shutting its doors in 1983. It originally opened in 1824, moved locations in 1853, rebuilt after an 1877 warehouse fire, and survived bombings by the Nazis in WWII. This "silent stills" single-cask release from Signatory Vintage was distilled in 1976 and bottled in 2000. There were 245 bottles in the release.
