Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 99 - Glass Revolution Imports, hosted by Raj Sabharwal (@WhiskyRaj) of Glass Revolution Imports (glassrev.com). Founded by Robin Tucek in 1995, Blackadder is an independent bottler known for their “raw casks” which leave all sediment from the cask in the bottle. This was a limited-release single cask offering from an undisclosed Islay distillery (Bowmore? Caol Ila? Laphroaig?). Blackadder's Peat Reek is an USA-exclusive release and a Glass Revolution Dram Hunter selection. The barley was peated to 20ppm phenols. At the Saratoga Whiskey Club tasting, we were able to taste it before commercial release.
