Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 159: Fake Feis Ile 2024. This 23-year-old whisky was distilled in 1999; and it is composed of a marriage of finishes in three different types of sherry casks. The first was matured for 10 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then moved to Amontillado casks in November 2009, and further matured for 13 years until 2023. The second was initially matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred Oloroso casks in June 2011, and further matured for 11 years. The third was initially matured for 17 years in ex-bourbon, and then transferred in September 2016 to Manzanilla casks, and further matured for 6 years. There were 4002 bottles in the outturn.
