1872 bottles. Distilled 07 Feb 2008. Bottled 11 Feb 2019. "Moine" means peated in Scottish Gaelic. So, any time you see "moine" on a Bunnahabhain bottle, it is a peated whisky. Most Bunnahabhain whiskies are not peated. The peated ones, in general, are delicious! This one was matured for 10 years and 7 months in ex-bourbon barrels and finished for 5 months in re-charred French Oak (red wine Hogshead). Tasted at Bunnahabhain Masterclass with Master Blender Dr. Kirstie McCallum and Distillery Manager Andrew Brown during Feis Ile 2019. It tastes like smoking a good cigar - it's a great whisky, but very one dimensional. The French red wine doesn’t come through.
