This whisky, part of Murray McDavid's Benchmark series, was initially matured in an ex-bourbon barrel, and then finished in a rye barrel from Koval (Chicago IL). It was part of a small-batch limited release of casks # 600812, 601812 and 602812, distilled in 2007. I tasted this at First Fill Spirits (Saratoga Springs, NY).
