Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 99 - Glass Revolution Imports, hosted by Raj Sabharwal (@WhiskyRaj) of Glass Revolution Imports (glassrev.com). Murray McDavid is an independent bottler located in the Speyside region of Scotland. One of its founders was Mark Reynier (formerly of Bruichladdich and currently of Waterford). Known for a quick distillation, Dailuaine is a Speyside distillery that creates a versatile single malt that matures well in a wide variety of casks. This whisky, distilled in 2009, is a marriage of four casks, cask #s 1911908 & 1911993-95. It was initially matured in Bourbon hogsheads, and then finished in first-fill Sauternes casks for 14 months. Photo courtesy of First Fill Spirits (Saratoga Springs, NY).
