Tasted at Highland Park Distillery. Triskelion, named after the triangular shape that represents wisdom and inspiration, used in Norse / Viking symbolism, is a special-edition whisky, developed by three Highland Park whisky makers- Gordon Motion, Max McFarlane and John Ramsay. They chose and married three principal cask types, with the aim of exploring the influence of wood and cask seasoning: Liquid from first-fill sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts, first-fill sherry-seasoned American oak casks and first-fill bourbon barrels and hogsheads, along with a small number of refill casks.
