Tasted as Day 3 of The Saratoga Whiskey Club Advent Calendar 2023. Every day is a new adventure with a blind tasting, where we each try to guess the country of origin, the type and age of the whisk(e)y, the ABV, and the type of barrel/cask used for maturation, followed by a reveal at 9PM. Kingsbarns distillery was founded in 2014 by Douglas Clement, is owned by Wemyss Malts, has a capacity to produce 200,000 liters of spirit per year, and is located near the famous St Andrews golf course. This whisky was aged in in Ex-Bourbon (30%) and Ex-Oloroso Sherry (70%).
