Tasted this fantastic single-cask single malt whisky at Bar Luckenbooth (Kyoto, Japan). This whisky was distilled at Laphroaig on 22 Sep 1998, matured in a refill sherry butt (Cask # 700391), and bottled by Signatory Vintage on 8 Jan 2020. There were 500 bottles in the release, which was a single-barrel pick by The Whisky Hoop in Japan to celebrate the 70th Anniversary of Sone Bussan (a Japanese plastics packaging company).
