Tasted during Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 92 - Lost Distilleries. The Lost Distillery Company makes blended malt whiskies in the style of single malt whiskies from long-closed distilleries. The Lossit Distillery was located near Port Askaig on Islay and operated from 1817 to 1867. The flavor profile of this whisky reminds me of Bunnahabhain (oiliness) and Caol Ila (floral, peaty) - perhaps those or the two core whiskies in this blend? It was matured in ex-bourbon casks.
