I was not quick enough with my mouse to purchase this 2021 Speyside Festival release from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society when it was released. However, my very good friend, Charles, managed to type more quickly than I; and he was kind enough to offer me tastes of this delicious whisky on my birthday and during the Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 82 - Speyside. This was initially matured in an ex-Oloroso sherry butt, and then finished in a first-fill ex-Pedro Ximenez hogshead. It was distilled in October 2008; and only 90 bottles were made available to the USA.
