Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 108 - Edrington. This is one of three whiskies that were all distilled on the same day in October 2008, and initially matured for 10 years in Oloroso Sherry butts. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society vatted (married together) these casks, and then split the vatted spirit into three different casks to finish for an additional 2 years before bottling them in October of 2018. This whisky spent its final two years in a first-fill ex-bourbon barrel. There were 120 total bottles. The Scotch Malt Whisky Society categorized the flavor profile of this whisky as Juicy, Oak and Vanilla. Photo courtesy of The Scotch Malt Whisky Society.
