I was lucky to be able to taste this rare and special gem of a whisky at the Saratoga Whiskey Club VIP Lounge. It was distilled, matured and bottled at Bruichladdich. The barley was locally grown at Octomore Farm, adjacent to the Bruichladdich distillery. The spirit was distilled in Sep 2012, fully matured in a bourbon barrel, and bottled in Jan 2023. The barley was peated to 133 ppm of phenols during malting.
