Port Charlotte is the heavily-peated whisky product line from Bruichladdich. The Port Charlotte 16 Yr is the Feis Ile 2020 bottling from Bruichladdich. There are 3000 bottles in the release. I purchased the bottle from Bruichladdich's on-line ballot. This is the oldest Port Charlotte released to date. It was distilled in 2003 from Scottish Barley. The new-make was filled into three different parcels of casks: Parcel One / Refill hogsheads, re-casked into first fill bourbon barrels in 2012. Parcel Two / First fill bourbon barrels, re-casked into ex-Sauternes casks in 2013. Parcel Three / A complex assemblage of ex-sherry, ex-bourbon and virgin oak casks.
