Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 76 - Sagamore Spirit Rye - hosted by Sagamore Spirit President Brian Treacy, along with David Rose and Joe Masse from the Sagamore Spirit sales team. Although Sagamore Spirit is distilling today, this is made with MGP juice, as they have not yet fully switched over to bottling their own product. This whiskey starts as a 4-year straight rye using their Signature mash bill. It is then matured for up to 1 year in a combination of vermouth, cherry brandy, and Fee Brothers bitters barrels.
