Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 76 - Sagamore Spirit Rye - hosted by Sagamore Spirit President Brian Treacy, along with David Rose and Joe Masse from the Sagamore Spirit sales team. Although Sagamore Spirit is distilling today, this is made with MGP juice, as they have not yet fully switched over to bottling their own product. This whiskey starts as a 4-year-old straight rye in newly-charred American Oak barrels. It is then transferred to a newly-toasted oak barrel for finishing for up to a year.
