Tasted this delicious dram at Amherst Coffee & Bar (Amherst MA). The price of the dram was reasonable (under $20), considering how rare and expensive this bottle is today. The whisky was distilled at Springbank in May 1997, spent 9 years in a refill bourbon barrel and then 3 years in a fresh claret cask, and was bottled in February 2010. I assume that the whisky was much less expensive at the time it was purchased, and hence the reasonable price for a pour.
