Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 168 - Lady of the Glen, hosted by Paul McKendrick, Brand Ambassador for Independent bottler, Hannah Whisky Merchants. There are 3 brands from Hannah Whisky Merchants - Lady of the Glen (Single barrel single malt), Dalgety (Small batch (2-barrel) single malt), and St. Bridget's Kirk (Blended malt). Since 2012, the warehousing and blending for all of their brands is located in Dalgety Bay, Fife, Scotland. This whisky is a blend of 5 single-malt whiskies, all matured for 9 or 10 years (except for the Ben Nevis)- Inchgower, peated Ben Nevis 3-4yr, Benrinnes, Caol Ila, and Auchroisk. This blended malt is run through a Solera cask system, where once the older whisky in the bottom casks is bottled, younger whisky is filled in the top casks, which are Fino Sherry, and eventually passes through Oloroso Sherry casks at the bottom. It was bottled in 2024. There were 214 bottles in the outturn.
