Tasted at Saratoga Whiskey Club Tasting # 89 - Stauning Danish Whisky. Stauning was founded in 2005; and they use local grains to make their whisky. The barley was floor-malted at the distillery using local barley, local peat and local heather. Their early attempts at flavor were to mimic an Ardbeg from 1977. I've never had a 1977 Ardbeg, but this is pretty good stuff!
