Tasted as Day 15 of The Saratoga Whiskey Club Advent Calendar 2022. Every day is a new adventure with a blind tasting, where we each try to guess the country of origin, the type and age of the whisk(e)y, and the ABV, followed by a reveal at 9PM. This single pot still irish whiskey is Teeling's first release in their "Wonders of Wood" series - it consists of single pot crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% unmalted barley, which has been triple distilled in their Dublin distillery and fully matured in virgin Chinkapin American white oak casks. It is not available for purchase in the USA; and it was #19 on the Whisky Advocate Top 20 for 2022. Photo courtesy of Charles Grabitzky.
