Tasted as Day 6 of the 2024 Saratoga Whiskey Club Advent Calendar. Every day is a new adventure with a blind tasting, where we each try to guess the country of origin, the type and age of the whisk(e)y, the ABV, and the type of barrel/cask used for maturation, followed by a reveal at 9PM. This single-grain whiskey was distilled at the Cooley Distillery, and bottled by W.D. O'Connell (an Irish independent bottler) for Gordon's Wine & Liquor (Waltham, MA). This is their first barrel in the US market. It began maturation an Ex-Bourbon barrel and was then finished in an ex-Madeira barrel. It is no longer available for sale, as far as I can tell.
