If you’re looking to learn about Scotch Whisky, please join Mike Sirianni from 9 Maple Ave and Charles Grabitzky from The Saratoga Whiskey Club on a 4-week educational course on Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The classes will be held once a week on Tuesday evenings at 9 Maple Ave, Saratoga Springs, NY from 6pm to 7:30pm.

The dates will be April 9, 16, 23, 30, 2019.

Class size: 8 People Max

Tuesday, April 9 – Whisky Making and Speyside Malts: We will dive into the basics of making whisky in Scotland followed by an in-depth review of the Speyside Region. Includes tasting whiskies from Glenfarclas, Balvenie, Glenfiddich, Singleton & Cardhu.

Tuesday, April 16 – Upper Highlands and Coastal Malts: We travel around the Highlands and Coastal Regions of Scotland and focus on what makes these whiskies unique. Includes tasting whiskies from Clynelish, Glenmorangie, Highland Park, Talisker & Oban.

Tuesday, April 23 – Highlands and Lowland Malts: We finish up the Highlands region and move south to the Lowlands to see how these malts differ in ingredients and taste. Includes tasting whiskies from Dalwhinnie, Glengoyne, Glen Scotia, Auchentoshan & Glenkinchie.

Tuesday, April 30 – Islay Malts: We end our journey on Islay where we discover that not all Islay malts are smoky. Includes tasting whiskies from Bunnahabhain, Bruichladdich, Lagavulin, Laphroaig & Ardbeg.This class includes: whisky maps & curriculum, guided whisky education & all whiskies tasted (20 total).

Cost: The 4-week class is $180.00 total. ($45 per class)
