Although made from a bourbon mash bill, this is a "light" whiskey, and not a bourbon, because it was casked at over 160 proof and matured in re-used, ex-bourbon barrels. It is a marriage of 20% 4-Yr Black Button and 80% 12-yr MGP whiskey. Tasted at Purdy's Discount Wine & Liquors (Saratoga Springs NY) with Jason Barrett (President and Head Distiller of Black Button).
