Tasted as Day 6 of The Saratoga Whiskey Club Advent Calendar 2022. Every day is a new adventure with a blind tasting, where we each try to guess the country of origin, the type and age of the whisk(e)y, and the ABV, followed by a reveal at 9PM. This is the inaugural bottling release of Jim Rutledge's new whiskey brand. Jim Rutledge worked at Four Roses and was Master Distiller there for 20 years. He left a few years ago and started consulting with brands and launching Cream of Kentucky. His new company, JWRD, Jim Rutledge Distilling, put out this as their first release. He selected rye from 4 different states for this release. Kentucky Artisan Distillery, Middle West Distillery in Ohio, MGP Distillery in Indiana, and New York Distilling Company out of Brooklyn.
