Murray McDavid is an independent bottler located in the Speyside region of Scotland. One of its founders was Mark Reynier (formerly of Bruichladdich and currently of Waterford). This whisky was distilled in 2010; and the outturn consists of 2266 bottles from 6 casks that were initially matured in ex-bourbon and then finished in freshly-emptied Port and Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks. This is a vatting of several single malts from different distilleries; and the distilleries was not disclosed. This is Batch # 003 of "The Vatting." I purchased this bottle at First Fill Spirits (Saratoga Springs, NY).
