Shady Knoll Orchard and Distillery is located in the Hudson Valley in Millbrook, New York. They are family-owned and operated by the Kneipper-Richards family. They grow their own apples and rye to make their rye whiskies and apple brandies. All whiskey production is done on-site and distilled in French Alembic Pot Stills. This whiskey has a mashbill of 70% rye, 15% corn and 15% malted barley. It was matured in new charred American Oak and then finished in Port barrels.
