Laphroaig releases Cairdeas (Scottish Gaelic for "friendship") each year for the Feis Ile whisky festival. Cairdeas was first introduced in 2008 by John Campbell. This edition is the first created by Laphroaig Master Distiller Barry MacAffer: 3/4 of the spirit was finished in second-fill Madeira casks, and 1/4 was finished in first-fill White Port casks.
