Tenmile was founded by Joel LeVangia and his father-in-law, John Dyson. They hired Scottish Master Distiller Shane Fraser from Wolfburn to be their master distiller. And, he's done a great job, bringing in Forsyth stills and making some lovely whisky. If you have the opportunity to visit Tenmile, it's well worth it - gorgeous facility, wonderful people, and delicious whisky. This is the first release of Little Rest Pinot Noir Cask, fully matured in François Frères French Oak Casks from John Dyson’s Williams Selyem winery. It's very good at 3 years of age. However, the palate was a little thin - I'm looking forward to future releases, after 6 and 8 years of maturation, to see how much more depth it develops. I have high expectations!
